Check out this story that my wife Annie wrote and I shot on several members of the children’s crusade march during the civil rights movement here in Birmingham. It was an incredible story to get to work on—like having living historical figures in our studio! Pick up your copy on stands now!

We got inspired saturday after my wife, Annie, made us a new table runner (seen in the pic*) and decided we needed to shoot something pretty on it…and that’s how we ended up with a gluten-free strawberry cake! A month ago today was our 1 year anniversary, so Annie and I decided to hit the road and spend a long weekend in the mountains. It was an absolute blast getting out of our downtown loft-life for a few days and hiking around in the woods (plus it was our one year anniversary…so awesome!). Here are a few of my favorite frames from our hiking:
